Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega sent a message of love, gratitude and appreciation to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and President Raul Castro.
The letter highlights the constant victories reached by the people and government of that nation, reaffirmed on Sunday, February 24, during the constitutional event of the Eighth Legislature of the People’s Power National Assembly (Parliament).
Similarly, Ortega refers with joy to the presence of Fidel Castro in that event, and Raul Castro’s ratification as a president for a five-year term.
“We share the satisfaction and joy of the Cuban people for all its achievements, particularly for the electoral process in which more than eight million citizens participated, and the results that confirm the progresses resulting from the agreements of the Communist Party of Cuba during its last congress,” the text states.
Ortega expresses Fidel Castro and Raul Castro his confidence that both “will continue applying their irreplaceable experience and great wisdom, in these new times of socialism deepening, in Our America, full of Freedom, Dignity, Fraternity.”
The Nicaraguan statesman validated his government’s willingness to defend the maintenance of brotherhood between the two nations “as always, and now, more than ever,” in the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
